Disabling Client Side IM Auto Archiving

By default automatic Client IM archiving to Outlook Conversation History folder is enabled. We found this to be undesirable in our environment. The command below sets the global policy to disable the Automatic Outlook Archive, but the user can still archive manually from the file menu within the conversation either to Outlook or to RTF file.

Set-CsClientPolicy -EnableIMAutoArchiving $False – This disables and grays out the setting “Save instant message conversations in my email Conversation History folder”

Set-CsClientPolicy -EnableCallLogAutoArchiving $false – This disables and grays out the setting “Save call logs in my email Conversation History folder”
